Were there enough aid stations and were they well stocked? (156)

Absolutely, the aid stations are so fun!

Add more

Again a super job.

Aid stations well placed and well stocked.

Aid stations were awesome! I couln’t believe how well they were stocked. The volunteers were top notch! Also, it was very comforting to see EMTs on the course.

Aid stations were exceptional. I loved the various water spray devices.

Aid stations were GREAT

Aid stations were great as usual!

Aid stations were great!

Aid stations were great!

Aid stations were great. Especially liked the Gatorade slushy at No Name Creek.

Aid stations were great. Nice to see young runners out supporting the sport.

Aid stations were perfect.

Aid stations were plentiful. I took a small water container but took water at most stations which helped.

Aid stations were well placed and well stocked. Great job to all.

All the aid stations were great and I wish I could vote for more than one. I have been to way bigger and so-called better races that did not have half as good of aid stations as these!

Always great aid stations, and they spread out enough where you can take multiple fluid if needed.

Excellent aid stations

Excellent... Great energy from high school teams. The Gatorade slushies were the best!

Great

Great

Great—the high school runners and coaches do a great job

Great aid stations

Great aid stations! Best of any race!

Great aid stations. I love the competition concept with them.

Great job on aid stations, those kids worked very hard.

Great job!

Great work by all on the aid stations

I did not need one. I did see the Search & Rescue staff on the course.

I think so. Next time I will carry a small bottle of water to fill up to carry me between stations.

I’ve never been so impressed with aid stations. The amount of fluid we got was amazing ( and much needed). I have never had such big cups of water and Gatorade in a race before. The spacing of the stations was just right!

Maybe one more aid station with just water so you don't have to have a camelback/water bottle to get your optimal performance

Much better stocked than last year.

Much better this year than last year, the water was cold.

No Name aid station ran out of water

No Name was advertised as out of water on the way down. However, runners behind me said they found water.

Number of aid stations was good, the one at No-name ran out of water during my return trip, which was a disappointment (at that time, I needed a cup of clear water, not Gatorade).

Only Bobs Road and No Name had cold water. Ice and slushies at No Name were great. Was surprised there was no ice/cold water at finish.

Perfect

Perfect, and they were excellent, with great spirit!!

Plenty of aid stations, but the kiddos should be briefed about keeping an open pitcher available for runners who want to fill water bottles. I had to wait at nearly every stop to get my bottle filled. Despite that, I LOVED all the enthusiasm and they were all very helpful and friendly.

Seemed to be enough water/Gatorade stations.

Super

That’s the number and location during PPA/PPM which is great. They were very well stocked. Why didn’t I drink more??

The aid stations were great!

The aid stations were great.

The aid stations were great. It was just hard to find the water out of all the other stuff.

The aid stations were perfect!! Koodos to the volunteers! Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful. Perfect timing! Loved the encouragement!

The first one seemed a little far from the start this year, given the heat. Also, why doesn’t this one ever have Gatorade? I don’t vote for that aid station simply because of this. 20 minutes into the race on a hot day Gatorade would be nice. In general, the aid stations were great and very well stocked, though.

There are enough aid stations.

There could have been one more. Especially because of the heat.

There were enough aid stations and they were well stocked.

They seemed well stocked and manned.

They were very well stocked and very much appreciated.

Very good

Very good aid stations as usual. School kids are great!

Very nice.

Very well done.

Yes—and the aid stations are more professionally set up than at most marathons (charging $100 to enter).

Yes—and they were all fabulous, every one. The high school kids are great.

Yes—enough. More grapes at Barr Camp & Bobs Rd.

Yes — every ~2 miles is perfect. I love the scheme — HS teams with voting and reward — almost as entertaining as Bolder Boulder or Boston. One HS boy at #3 (Bobs) chased me to give me a Gatorade when I missed it — where else can you find that — I voted for their team for that kids effort but the slushies (No Name) were close behind. Actually at the end of the day they were all above and beyond

Yes — I loved the “brain-freeze” Gatorade at Bobs Road. The Gatorade Slushies were also good.

Yes and very well

Yes most of the drinks were nice and cold.

Yes. Can’t the finish be up in the trailhead parking lot? More room and natural shade there.

YES! BEST I’ve ever seen in a race! They were + and enthusiastic — well stocked

YES! Well stocked with Cheers! I think it is So Very Cool that these guys come out and cheer us on; I love that they are at least inspired by their own competition for the top aid station; I mean they DESERVE IT! and to see all the young people participating and maybe thinking of their future as a trail runner!

YES!! That was awesome

YES!! This year no one ran out of gels, at least by the time I was there, and that was a HUGE plus in my book.

Yes, and yes, great people at all aid stations

Yes, and yes. The aid stations are great and unique.

Yes, but Carb-Boom should be at all stations.

Yes, but more gel next time

Yes, everything except for the car bombs were not visible enough. I only saw one packet being offered before the top, which I had already passed. [Webmaster note: I think they meant Carb-BOOMS and not car bombs;-)]

Yes, excellent.

Yes, great

Yes, great!

Yes, I loved the shaved ice at one of the stations

Yes, no complaints

Yes, the aid stations were excellent

Yes, the aid stations were great.

Yes, there were enough aid stations and they were aptly stocked.

Yes, there were enough—I didn’t get enough water at the first one, the cup was only about 1/3 full—after that I took 2 cups, one water, one Gatorade and that was good. The gel was a nice touch, thank you.

Yes, they were great!

Yes, very good volunteers

Yes, very good.

Yes, yes and very enthusiastic

Yes. I especially liked the icy Gatorade slushy.

Yes. I like the way the schools compete using different themes.

Yes. It was AWESOME to get some shaved ice to put in my hat at Bob’s Road. What a relief.

Yes. One might move the Carb-BOOM down to No Name instead of Barr Camp as the downhill leg doesn’t drive as much need for calories.

Yes. They were great!

Yes. I appreciated the cool water at the next to last aid station this year. Last year the water was hot when I got there.

Yes. I could have gone without the camelback.

Yes. I’d like some grapes over the energy gel

Yes. Very well stocked

Yes. Yes.

Yes—terrific job.

Yes—the kids are great. I love their enthusiasm, even though it is “bought” by having a favorite.
