I DID NOT FALL DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the idea of running up to Barr Camp and down again versus the Ascent.

I look forward to this race every year. It’s great to see how the local schools and community benefit directly from this race. I think it’s one of the best organized trail races I’ve participated in. I thought it was really “cool” the support shown by Jeff, John and everyone at the Colorado Running Company — the watermelon was excellent!

I love the trail, and the high schools doing the aid stations add a lot of fun.

I really like the trail

I think it is a fun race and it makes you work.

It is a month before the ascent.

It is a well-organized, excellent race that is challenging and fun. I love that it helps out our local schools and community.

It is simple, organized, and non-chaotic. It’s also my home trail to train on

It was a fun run.

It was my first trail race

It was so well organized and very challenging.

Location

Lots of fun, as usual--the high school aid stations outdid themselves this year!

Love the overall atmosphere

Loved the enthusiasm. Everyone (from the runners to the volunteers) was well organized and excited to be there.

money back to the community

money back to the community

Money goes to charities.

My result

No one thing. It was by far the most challenging (haven’t run PPA/PPM yet) and I like that. The field was very competitive, it’s great to try and run against some of the top mountain runners in the nation/world. The mid-packers were so friendly when I was coming down, I can’t count the number of people that said “Great Job” to me.

Not falling

not too crowded and the support at the aid stations was great.

organization

Overall support from the aid stations and finish line.

Proof that there’s room for prizes AND big donations to good charities within the same budget! On time, well run, results available very quickly & awards being done very soon after the race- also great volunteers. $5 entry for kids is a great way to get them going.

race proceeds donated to local community

running

Running in a beautiful environment.

running it and the start line was set up well too.

strong, deep, competitive field of runners. great views. great trail

Support. organized

Terrain, great organization

That all monies go to charitable org.

That all the money raised is given to charity.

That it is on Barr Trail!

That you don’t get the free burrito or shirt unless you finish in the pre-determined time frame. Makes it a REAL RACE. I liked Larry’s comment ‘this is a race !’ at the start. My babysitter Kim showed up (from when I was a wee lad !). Oh, and I LOVED John’s spiffs/primes along the way. Kinda like a bike race. I would have never threatened anyone’s chance for cash, but I thought it was a GREAT idea for those in front.

The aid station competition always makes it fun. Great mountain.

The aid station show

The aid stations

The aid stations, awards and give always. Also that 100% of the $ goes to charity.

the aid stations, the course and the support of all the volunteers

The ascent. The colorful and spirited aid stations made the race an extra memorable experience. Although I was injured in the race, I really did love the finish line designed with the little, cruel uphill at the end.

The atmosphere.

the attitude of the other runners and the location

The awesome trail to run on, the aid stations and overall great attitudes by the kids, volunteers and runners.

The competitive yet cordial atmosphere; the race draws a neat group of people with the right “fit” for this race. Informal yet competitive.

The downhill !!! Never thought I’d enjoy it

The downhill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The enthusiasm of the individuals at the aid stations.

The enthusiastic aid station staffers, great views.

The fact that I participated in a race where all of the proceeds go to worthy (and local) causes.

The first mile after turning around at Barr camp

THE FOLKS THAT DO ALL THE WORK

The fun atmosphere and the challenge.

The great competition and the aid station challenge as well as the fact that you donate all the entry fees.

The great people I that helped me on the way

the high school aid stations!

The high schoolers manning the aid stations were very friendly. Especially liked the personal touch when the no name creek students were calling out our first names.

“The high school kids at the water stops. Oh, and thanks to all those downhill runners who said “"good job"” while I was still sucking wind on the way up."

The hill challenge

the idea that part of the money is going back to the community

The kids made a huge difference . . . their enthusiasm and support made a difference.

The mountain

The music and misters at the aid stations. Like having the splits taken

The opportunity to improve upon previous years’ race times

The overall concept of getting to test yourself against the trail. It is a challenging event and I think the fact that there is a time cutoff makes more a feeling of accomplishment.

The primes! How cool! The course and the overall prize structure.

The stations had so much energy it really helped you to keep going

the trail

The trail

The Trail

The trail, of course, and the great organization and sponsors.
