Were there enough aid stations and were they well stocked? Explain: (168)

Absolutely - well done!

Aid stations were adequate, well staffed and maintained.

aid stations were excellent

aid stations were excellent

Aid stations were good.

Aid stations were great

Aid Stations were great!

Aid stations were great!! Plenty of water.

Aid stations were great. All the h.s. kids were very enthusiastic, encouraging, and helpful. The squirt bottles were a VERY welcomed addition! Since the schools were competing for best aid station I was always looking for the name of the school and many of them didn't have it.

Aid stations were great. Loved the mist. Attitudes of the high school volunteers were great.

Aid stations were great. The high school runners were really into the race and were cheering on all of the runners. All of the stations had enough supplies for the runners.

Aid stations were great. There was plenty of water available.

Aid stations were well stocked

Aid stations were well stocked and positioned well.

All good

Awesome. The groups all were fabulous. I think the Incline Station is toughest for the kids. I helped carry some water up because one of the girls was having a tough time with the load. I don't think some of the kids knew about the climb (probably Doug was trying to keep them encouraged about their spot rather than tell them it was such a hike up)

could have first aid station earlier

Could have used more Gatorade stations, and the Gatorade was a bit strong. One aid station had the gel packets open for us, and that was convenient.

Enough, well stocked.

Excellent

excellent!!

Excellent!!!!!

Fine

Good

good aid stations

great - liked the gel packets

Great aid stations!

GREAT aid stations!

Great aid stations!

Great Job!

I really like the way this is done. Having that 3rd aid station at Bob's Road is such a good idea. They should add this for the Ascent/Marathon. The high school kids are great!

I sprained my ankle on the trail, I had to run down the Mountain. When I got down, they had no ice for my ankle.

I thought that there could have been one more.

I thought there could have been more water stations on the course as it turned out to be a very hot day.

I thought they were all great!

I would have more closer to Barr Camp was too hot and not enough water

It was hot Sunday, I thought one more station would have been welcome. I was 2/3 to 3/4 of the way down the field, and had all the refreshment I needed.

Just enough and very well stocked. One aid station was giving out hot water (bummer).

just right

Just Right

Just right. Seemed well stocked and very enthusiastic people

loved the cool spray and yes gel

maybe could use another water station

Mostly - as long as you asked for what you needed. Also, would have liked Gatorade at more of the stations - not just water.

Needed a few more aid stations because of the heat!

No complaints, it was nice to have some people on the trail cheering for us.

no ran out of water one station

ok

Perfect

Perfect

Perfect

Perfect. But if they all had Gatorade, that would be cool.

Plenty of aid stations - well spaced out.

plenty of aid stations. wanted something other than water at barr camp, but maybe I just missed it.

Plenty of stations, very well stocked and extremely well supported. The kids were great... Friendly and enthusiastic

seemed to be enough stations but no one had any tissues at any station

Thank goodness for the aid stations

The aid station were great!

The aid stations are Great. The High Schools do a wonderful job of supporting the racers.

The aid stations for great

The aid stations were all super. I was near the end and they all had plenty of food and water.

The aid stations were great

The aid stations were great

The aid stations were great! Thanks to all the volunteers.

The aid stations were GREAT! They were well-placed, well-manned and it was great to be (water-) sprayed occasionally.

the number of aid stations is just right. If possible, stocking Gatorade, in addition to water at each aid station would be great.

there seemed to be enough water...wish it were room temp though instead of so cold

There were enough aid stations, but a couple of them were rather deserted on the way down so that it was hard to get more than one cup of water. I finished in 2 and a half hours too, so it wasn't that I was slow.

There were enough stations, and they seemed to be well stocked.

there were plenty - as long as they don't run out of water, I'm happy. anything else is unnecessary

There were sufficient aid stations and plenty of water.

they were excellent

they were great

They were well-stocked. However, either there should be more, or runners should be *heavily* encouraged to carry additional water.

very good

Very good

Very good

Very good job on the aid stations!

Very well done

Very well stocked, great volunteers (best I've seen). There seemed to be enough. Just about perfect.

Well done! Really enjoyed the efforts by the "aid station contestants".

WOW! I was so impressed by the hard work those volunteers put in.

Yes and no. It was hot but to add aid stations would be tough

Yes and Yes

Yes and yes - the aid stations are one of the things that make the race so good.

Yes and Yes!

Yes and Yes.

yes but I primarily drink my water from my pack because I'm better at doing that than drinking from a cup while running. Did appreciate the get even tho I don't usually use gel--and liked the oranges at barr camp--it tasted great.

Yes plenty of aid stations

Yes there were enough aid stations, LOVED the mist volunteers! Would have liked gels offered at all aid stations, but that is just a preference and not a complaint. On the way down, I was surprised that 1 or 2 of the aid stations seemed to be packing up. Granted, I was not at the head of the pack, but I still finished well before the cutoff time. It was a little disheartening.

Yes!

Yes! Great aid stations!

Yes! The aid stations were very good. However, it would be nice if they all had Gatorade or some sports drink.

Yes! They were great!

Yes! Yes! I have never seen anything like the HS challenge and what a great concept it is. More races should take note!

Yes, all the kids did a great job.

Yes, although I didn't see Car-boom at the Barr Camp aid station.

yes, but warm water

Yes, but we could have used more girls in bikinis and hula skirts.

Yes, but will probably carry water next year if it is as hot.

Yes, but.... It felt like quite a long way to the first aid station since it was a hot day. Perhaps add an 'up only' water station at the site of the first water station of the Ascent (before the sharp right turn at the beginning of the trail)? This would be a 'nice to have' and is by no means essential.

yes, definitely

Yes, excellent job all around.

Yes, excellent!

Yes, except the water at the station overlooking the incline tasted horrible.

yes, good aid stations

Yes, I thought the aid stations were well stocked and the volunteers were very energetic

Yes, just right

Yes, just right for me.

yes, maybe a little smaller cups so you don't waste or dump as much Gatorade on the trail & plants

Yes, once again the youngsters out there on the course did a great job and are so much appreciated especially by the top finishers.

Yes, the HS teams did a great job

Yes, there was plenty of aid stations. The only problem is that the No Name Creek Station was running short of cups on the way down. But everything else was great.

Yes, there were enough. I guess one station ran out of cups, but I was carrying a bottle, so no problem.

yes, they were all good

yes, though the water at Barr camp was a bit too warm-whine, whine, whine ;-)

Yes, very good stations, except the gel should have been at the beginning of the Barr Camp aid station. I needed it before the water, not after.

Yes, well placed and stocked.

Yes, well placed and well stocked.

Yes, Yes

Yes, Yes. Need More Gatorade at all stations that only had water.

Yes.

Yes.

yes.

yes. (I took my own energy bar)

Yes. I liked the Carb-Boom, even though I've never used it before. I would buy it if it was available at my usual stores. I also like the water at "French" creek the best because it was the coldest.

Yes. I was near the end of the pack but there was enough supplies left for me.

Yes. More Gatorade at some of the aid stations would have been better.

Yes. Plenty well stocked.

Yes. Positioned at appropriate spots, and they were loud enough you could hear them and get ready to take on water/Gatorade. The sponges at Barr Camp were greatly appreciated.

Yes. The aid stations were great and well stocked.

Yes. They were a good diversion from the pain

yes. very good aid stations and the volunteers were staggered up the hill, all had water,

yes....great job

Yes...in 2002, some of the aid stations did not have water available on the descent, but this year, they all had cold water (which was a big plus!!).

yes/yes

Yup.
