Were there enough aid stations and were they well stocked? Explain: (177)

A good number, well placed, and well stocked. I liked the GU.

Absolutely. I do carry my own water, but refilled my bottle at No Name Creek. Often, in the Marathon the aid stations have someone with a pitcher to refill bottles. On Sunday, I had to refill with 2 or 3 individual cups of water. No big deal though, it really didn't take anymore time.

Adequate

Aid stations came at just the right time and the people were very helpful.

Great aid stations

Great aid stations

Great fun to see people at each one

Great job by all aid stations

GREAT JOB! Well done!

I didn't use any aid stations on the way down. They were well-spaced and had lots of water (my favorite).

I have been to road races that were not this well stocked and these stations make the PPA/M stations look like a joke. How is it that you could put in an extra station 3/4 of the way to Barr Camp and stock them so well when they can't? Great concept in the high school challenge.

I was impressed with how well stocked the aid stations were and how many available goodies there were at the finish line

I was really happy with the amount and stocking of the aid stations. They were well spaced out and they provided Gatorade or GU when you would most likely want to take them.

I would personally like to see one every mile- and also one at the finish line- I had fallen very hard on the descent and there was no available first aid

Location of the aid stations and availability were just right. I did have a complaint though that the volunteers should be briefed to get out there and give the water to the runners rather than being shy and holding back. I've found this happens often in marathons. They learn as they go, but this doesn't help the faster runners who bear the brunt of the learning curve.

More than enough aid stations. Great concept! (With the contest).

Nice! One of the best parts of the race.

No - there were a number of people who needed bandaging (minor scraps and wounds), but there wasn't a fixed, identified Aid Station for them. We had to look around to see where Jay Budnick was at the moment. (Sorry - I guess you were referring to on-course water-and-food stations, but my comment is about the medical/emergency station at the start/finish).

Not enough water stations

ok

Perfect!

Perfect

Perfect

Plenty of aid stations / supplies

Plenty of aid stations for this race. Water & Gatorade were available. The volunteer track teams staffing the stations were very cheerful and supportive. I didn't come across any duds.

Quantity and quality of aid stations was just right

Stations were excellent -- well stocked, spaced well and easy to access

The aid stations were awesome! and very well stocked.

The aid stations were FANTASTIC

The aid stations were great and the one we were near did a great job of cleaning up cups and trash.

The aid stations were great and very well stocked. Consider adding one at mile 5?? I had my own fluid with me, so I was fine. Without it, I would have been looking for a drink between the mile 4 and mile 6 stations. The high schoolers were excellent, very motivated!!! Great job!!

The aid stations were GREAT! I thought there were enough and had enough stuff. The kids made it fun!

The aid stations were great!!!

The aid stations were great, well stocked and I don't think there is a need for more. A couple of runners were surprised that the GU given out at the No Name Aid Station had already been opened for us. I loved it because I didn't have to hassle with tearing off the top of my GU, but the runner behind me tried to stuff it in his pocket to take later and was...well...sticky through the rest of the race....

The aid stations were great. Nice themes, very encouraging group, plenty of water, Gatorade and GU. Since I'm usually at the end of any race, it's nice that they didn't run out of encouragement nor supplies.

The aid stations were great. The idea to have them worked by high school kids was great as well.

The aid stations were outstanding! The teenagers were awesome. I hope that all the schools who participated get something because they all contributed a great deal. They were all very helpful and encouraging!

The aid stations were positioned well

The aids stations and locations were fine.

The Best

The finish line looked great. Can't comment on the others

There were enough aid stations and plenty of drinks, energy bars, GUs, etc. Plus the volunteers were great.

There were enough aid stations. It would be nice on all the aid stations to know what is available before you got there. It would have been nice at the first aid station on the course (@ switchback) to have a sports drink. You need to fuel your body early on and continue to maintain it.

There were enough and they were well stocked
