Was the awards ceremony too long, too short or just right? Explain: (174)
A bit long - lost people toward the end.
A bit long. However, I think it is great that you gave out so many awards and prizes.
A bit long---but mainly because there were so many prizes, which made it worth waiting for.
A little long, but it was only because of all of the awards that were donated by the wonderful sponsors
A little long, some out of towners had to leave (planes and trains!), but I would have liked the men's and women's done together, not separated by gender. And mix the age groups up! As usual, by the time organizers get to the older age groups - most people have gone! Although slower, older runners train and work just as hard..
A little long
A little long
A little too long, but tolerable. Excellent emcee!
A little too long, but understandable given all the awards; handles as efficiently as possible, I think.
A little too long. Great awards though. I loved the idea of the different types of rocks on the awards. Very original and very cool!!!
A little too long. I felt that the drawings at the end could have gone faster to speed things up. The beginning part of the ceremony dedicated to the top runners, though, I felt had adequate, deserved time.
A little too long.
A little too long
A little too long-door prizes a great idea-especially including volunteers
Awards ceremony it self was just right. I think the prize drawing portion went to slow.
Awards were about right, the random drawing dragged on a bit
Ceremony should have been held earlier
Could not attend
Could not stay for the ceremony.
Couldn't attend it.

Couldn't stay for it, had to drive 10hrs back to WY

Did not attend ceremony
Did not attend, so I can't comment.
Did not attend, too long after the race
Did not attend. To long after conclusion of race. Have a family with 3 young children. We had other things we needed to do

Didn't attend - since it wasn't until 12:00, we didn't want to hang around.
Didn't attend ... was toO long after the finish to make it worth staying
Didn't attend because it was so late.
Didn't attend, sorry
Didn't attend. Too long after finish.
Didn't Attend. Noon is a little late to stick around for.
Didn't attend. Too long after the race. Other things to do on weekends rather than spend all day.

Fine, but too late! How about an 11 or 11:30 am start instead?
Fine.
Fine
Fine
First awards show I stayed for
For the amount of prize drawings, it would have been impossible to make it shorter. As long as the great drawings continue-keep it as long as necessary.
Good but randoms took too long. Maybe give out some smaller randoms in chutes
Had to leave early - n/a
Had to leave so I couldn't attend
Had to miss it, darn it. Had to visit my 93 year old uncle and his wife in Denver.
Have it at the finish area at 11:00, instead of downtown at 12:00
I could not attend but I hear it was pretty long
I couldn't attend
I did not stay for the awards. Sorry I didn't think I was going to get one, but I now found out I would have.
I didn't make it down until 12:15 so I cant really answer this one.
I didn't attend
I didn't get to stay for the awards
I didn't make the ceremony.
I had to leave to drive back to Michigan, so couldn't stay for it all, so don't know how long it was. Seemed good though.
I left at 12:30 to start driving home. It was half over, so I'll say just right.
I left before it began
I left early due to other commitment.
I thought it was very nice. You really recognized a lot of folks and I think the people who put the time and effort into training for, organizing, and volunteering for the race deserve that.
I thought the ceremony started a little too late. It made the race an all day event.
I was not able to stay for the awards ceremony
I was not there for the Awards. I left to return to Denver after I was done. Would it have been possible to have the ceremony at the finish line, where the food and people were?
I was very disappointed that I needed to leave at 12:30 pm due to a work commitment so I can't say.
It seemed a little long but there was a lot to do. I'm not sure I would change it.
It was a little long but it was very enjoyable. I don't see any means of reducing the time. So it is OK.
It was a little long, but with the giveaways it was OK.
It was a little long. People started losing interest and wandering off before it was finished.
It was a little too long. I saw people losing interest and leaving before it was over.
It was fine
It was great, but might have worked better if some prizes were given out as the awards were conducted and before the ceremony.
It was too late! I didn't feel like waiting.
It's fun to have as many giveaways but that does make it a bit long but if you don't make it mandatory to be there to win then not so many people come to the awards (I don't think there is a perfect scenario here :) - 2 hours from most fin was too long
Just right except for the prize giveaway which took too long. But every race that gives away prizes has the same problem
Just right
Just right
Just Right
Just right
Just right
Long but the best, could be a little better organized with trophies
Long but when you have that many things to give out what can you do? I have not been to a race in a long time that had that many random drawings. Great announcer and great turnout unlike so many races that I go to where it seems like half the award winners are not there
Long
Long
Maybe a little too long. People were leaving before it was over.
Maybe could be held sooner
Missed it
Move to 11 a.m. or 11:15 instead of 12 noon

Ok
Seemed alright to me. The crowd thinned out quickly
Seemed long but Roger kept it entertaining.
Somewhat too long. Should have called all placers in a given age-group up at the same time.
Sorry did not attend; had to leave sooner
Sorry, couldn't attend
The award ceremony was way too long, but on the other hand, it was well done. The awards were GREAT! That they were from the mountain itself, and hand made makes them especially interesting. I mentioned to Larry Miller that I would be willing to do the calligraphy next year if you don't mind shipping the stuff out to California.
The awards ceremony was good it just got long with all the drawings.
The Awards Ceremony was OK but the prize drawings seemed to be a little disorganized and too long
The awards ceremony was too long. However, if started earlier may not see too long. A cut off time at Barr Camp may help this. I think discouraging hikers for the race is a good way of limiting the time taken to complete the race and then starting the awards ceremony.
The awards portion was fine, the drawing dragged out too long. I was disappointed that most of the vendors packed up during the awards and left - I wanted to see their products but did not want to be rude and do so during the awards (maybe this is my fault - I went home and showered - as many others did - and planned to be back right at noon for the awards). Also, there seemed to be some confusion as some awards and most of the drawing prizes were handed out - nothing that a little dress rehearsal/pre-planning wouldn't solve.
The awards ran a little long, However runners did stay around for along time. It may be good to mix the drawings in with the age group awards.
This was the first awards ceremony I've seen so it felt kinda long. But it was good that time was taken to recognize the people that made the race possible. And the prize drawings were a bonus if you wanted to wait that long for them. But then again, what other plans might most of the runners and volunteers have on a Sunday race day that they would ditch the camaraderie of the awards ceremony and prize drawings!
Too long with too many awards. Next year consider only top 10% for awards. 72 awards is a lot for 254 finishers
Too late
Too late
Too long - 2 hours is a little long
Too long - but there were LOTS of prizes given away, which was good.
TOO LONG OF AN AWARDS CEREMONY. Recognize the #1s in all groups and just read off names of other winners. Need to disperse extra prizes throughout award ceremony. All should suffer!!!
Too long on sponsor stuff, talented announcer.
TOO LONG! I suggest trying to start 15 minutes earlier. If all results aren't available, you might be able to alternate with the drawing.
Too long, 2 hours! Most people hadn't eaten yet
Too long, but there were lots of prizes, so that was nice too.
Too long, don't know how to fix that though, maybe only awards for age groups >certain number to prevent 1/1 or 3/3 etc. Maybe give some of the prizes when you print the results and people can pick them up instead of presenting every single price.
Too long, it took forever to get through
Too long, the drawing process was too long, maybe have people who stayed put their number in a box for prize eligibility
Too long. Also, it should start 30-45 minutes earlier than noon
Too long. Freebie giveaways are nice but need a system for handing them out that is quicker.
Too long. I knew that I wouldn't get an award and had to wait for a very long time for door prizes. I don't think that I would wait for this next year.
Too long. I think people want to see award winners recognized, but not have the session take 2 hours. Should adjust the #of awards and method of presentation so it lasts no longer than 45 minutes (e.g., read off the names of award winners, but have them come up to receive their plaques after all the names are read, instead of each as their name is called.)
Too long. I was amazed at how many merchants donated gift certificates, though I think you started loosing the runners because there were too many giveaways. When you have a race that starts at 7:00 a.m., you have to get up at 5:30 because you have to park at least a mile away, wait around for the awards to start at noon, people don't want to spend their entire day at the race. I stayed until the very end and didn't get home until 2:45 p.m.
Too long. Might have been okay if it had started earlier (ie 11:00).
Too long. Seats were too hard
Too long. Mix some of the raffles in with & before the awards. Too much inside/local comments for those of us not from the CS area
Too long. Not sure what to do there, though.
Too long. Speed up the random gifts. Run though the gifts and then go back and redo the unclaimed ones
Too long. The number of awards was awesome but it took to long to draw them. Maybe next time have most of them pre-drawn and save the best 10, for example for a live draw between age group awards. The whole thing should not be longer than an hour or so. We were sitting there stiff for 2+ hours !
Too long; mix the prizes in between awards

Too! Long! But was very fun!
TOO, TOO, TOO, TOO long. Started way too late, went on too long. Those of us who finish near the end don't really care about the award winners - I would have loved to have participated in the door prizes - but I was exhausted and my kids were bored. Maybe you could provide child care next year if you start so late :) Didn't you once take care of twins - come on.
Unable to attend due to prior commitment. First race I really wanted to, though
Unable to attend
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend.
Was OK
Was unable to attend
Was unable to stay to attend
Wasn't there.
Way to long and disorganized! Many left early because is was dragging on
Way too long and the only part of the race that seemed unorganized.
WAY too long! It was almost 2 hours
Way too long, but I had an agenda, I had a train to catch in Denver.
Way too long. lose zebulein. A 7am race of 300 people should not take until 2:30PM to finish. Start at 11AM rather than noon. Start with attendance prizes and quickly go through age groups. Cut the BS.
Way too long. People left before the drawing because the were tired ,hungry and probably had other things to do with their day
We had to leave early so we appreciated being accommodated (we got awards for farthest distance). We would have enjoyed staying around for it. "Horatio Hornblower" was great.
When I got there, there were no more seats. I had to stand at the back and I couldn't hear a lot of what was said. I started feeling lousy and left early. I think it might be better if it wasn't so late.
With the prize drawings, it dragged on a little. Also, start with the oldest age group first.
Yes. Pre-select all of the door prizes and hand them out instead of drawing numbers
