Fundraising
Breakdown of the money the 2010 Barr Trail Mountain Race raised and donated:
El Paso County Search and Rescue: $6,492.19
Friends of the Peak: $6,273.23
The six high schools: $6,000
Total donations: $18,765.42 or $42.07 per registrant, $55.19 per finisher!
Great sponsors made this possible because the average entry fee was only $23.03 bringing in $10,272,
all of which was donated, and yet there were many expenses with T-shirts alone costing over $4,000 along with $3,000 in prize money and primes,
almost $400 for awards, $551.21 for finisher medals, and $465 for pizza.
