Please understand that doing the splits is a manual process and takes several days to finish. As always, we will do Barr Camp first so we can also get the downhill split:-)

Race No Shows 83 or 18.7% of the 443 registrants did not show. Of those 83: 81 or 97.6% registered more than 1 month before the race 13 or 15.6% were out of state Awards No Shows 93 award winners (81 age-group, top 3 m/f masters, top 3 m/f overall, 8 prime) were called to the stage. Of those: 82 or 88% were present to get their award 11 or 12% did not show to get their award

High School Aid Station Challenge
Congratulations to Cheyenne Mountain at the Incline who was the $2,250 Challenge winner this year. They were completely blue from head to toe as Team Smurf.
2nd place and $1,500 went to Woodland Park at No Name Creek
3rd place and $1,000 went to Doherty at the Start/Finish
4th place and $750 went to Mesa Ridge at Bobs Road
5th place and $500 went to Sierra at the Barr Camp

Breakdown of the money the 2007 Barr Trail Mountain Race raised and donated:
The six high schools: $6,000
Friends of the Peak: $5,475
El Paso County Search and Rescue: $5,403
Trails and Open Space Coalition: $500
Total donations: $17,378 or $39.23 per registrant, $51.41 per finisher!

Great sponsors made this possible because the average entry fee was only $19.21 bringing in $8,508, all of which was donated, and yet there were many expenses with T-shirts alone costing $3,945 along with $2,800 in prize money and primes, $625 for finisher medals and $465 for pizza.
