Fundraising
Breakdown of the money the 2004 Barr Trail Mountain Race raised and donated:
The six high schools: $6,000.00
Barr Camp: $2,486.00
Friends of the Peak: $2,121.50
El Paso County Search and Rescue: $2,074.00
TESSA: 1,841.50
Manitou Springs Fire Dept: $1,801.50
Total donations: $16,324.50 or $40.61 per registrant, $50.08 per finisher!

Great sponsors made this possible because the average entry fee was only $21.24 bringing in $8,540.00, all of which was donated, and yet there were many expenses with T-shirts alone costing $2,200 along with $2,800 in prize money and primes.
