High School Aid Station Challenge
Liberty high school, at No Name Creek, won for the second year in a row by dressing up as a bunch of pirates. They stole the hearts of the runners and for their efforts they won $2,000 for their running program. They also won a spot in next year’s Aid Station Challenge. Air Academy at the start, Sand Creek at the Incline Overlook, Doherty at Bob’s Road, Wasson at Barr Camp and Harrison at the finish each received $1,000 for doing a station.

Coronado high school had the most high school runners finish the race and therefore won an automatic spot in next year’s Aid Station Challenge.

Fundraising

The six high schools: $7,000.00
Barr Camp: $2,110.50
El Paso County Search and Rescue: $2,082.34
Friends of the Peak: $1,964.67
TESSA: 1,716.16

Great sponsors made this possible because the average entry fee was only $19.56 bringing in $7,940.00, all of which was donated, and yet there were many expenses with T-shirts alone costing almost $2,000.
