It is important to the race committee to not just put on a running event, but to stage a competitive race. From comp entries to primes and prize money, the BTMR is doing what it takes to bring in the top competition!

Just as important to the committee is what the BTMR accomplishes when it comes to giving back to the community and mountain in which we live and play! 100% of entry fees are donated to 501(c)(3) nonprofit and/or volunteer organizations and/or community projects with additional money going to the High School Aid Station Challenge. In all, the BTMR has given back over $177,600 in donations with $66,000 going to area high school running programs!

Breakout of all donations made by the BTMR

It can not be overemphasized that this would not be possible without our awesome sponsors. Without them there would be no way we could charge as little as $15 for the race (less for younger runners or runners who have run every BTMR) because in cash donations alone the 2010 BTMR gave away $18,765.42 or $55.36 per finisher!

Financial Information
Sure there are other races that donate a portion of their entry fees to worthwhile causes but did you ever wonder what was meant by the word “portion?” With the BTMR you don’t have to wonder because again it is simple — 100% of all entry fees are donated to non profit organizations! We also work hard with our sponsors to be able to support other causes like the High School Aid Station Challenge.

We Value Your Input
Please feel free to contact us with your comments, questions and concerns by using this form. Just like the runner who is always trying to improve, we are always trying to make the BTMR the best race it can be so we take comments and suggestions very seriously.

Race Committee
We are always looking for new people to join the race committee! For the most part no experience is needed. However, it is hoped that you are a serious runner (Note: that says serious, NOT fast) and have done plenty of races so that you will know what it is you like and dislike about the way races are put on! Let us know if you would like to join our team.
